Charlie, a thirty-two-year-old man with the mental age of a six-year-old child, agrees to undergo brain surgery that will allow him to multiply his intellectual faculties. Charlie will eventually reach worlds of intellectual perception inaccessible to the understanding of ordinary mortals, and from the solitude of the simple-minded, he discovers the solitude of genius.

Charlie, un homme de trente-deux ans ayant l’âge mental d’un enfant de six ans, accepte de subir une opération du cerveau qui doit permettre de démultiplier ses facultés intellectuelles.Charlie finira par atteindre des mondes de perception intellectuelle inaccessibles à la compréhension du commun des mortels, et de la solitude du simple d’esprit, il découvre la solitude du génie.
